Warren Bobrow: The Gold Standard
Stoli Black Label, 1 shot
Goldschlagger Liqueur (gold leaf in sugar syrup), ½ shot
Cristal Champagne, 1/3 glass
Orange zest, flamed
Carefully pour ½ glass of well chilled Cristal Champagne into a champagne flute, pouring it against the side of the glass so as to prevent foaming.
Add ½ shot glass of Goldschlagger Liqueur and 1 shot of ice cold Stoli Black Label.
Top up with fresh soda water and a flamed and spun orange zest.
Note: How fame an orange zest: take the zest, pinch it while lighting a lighter against the spray. The zest lets off the volatile oils which in effect flame against the glass.
